VidBulge Blew Up - An Outstanding First Month

Well I have to say that for our first month, VidBulge did outstanding. So outstanding that we exceeded our 1,000GB bandwidth limit! That’s right, 1,000GB was transferred since we began. We did some tweaks, promoted it a little bit by uploading and sharing some files ourselves and spread the word around.

Now we need to figure out whether or not we should upgrade servers :-P. As far as how much we made? Quite a bit for just starting out, I was fairly surprised with how quick it caught on. We netted just above $100 for about 23 days (solely from AdSense). I’m sure with some more promotion and maybe a couple of sponsored links we could do even better.

Until then, you can’t even view it so there’s no point in me showing it but we’ll be back up by the start of September. Thank’s goes out to everyone who has used the service!

    Congratulations on your problem!

DUDE! You should really suck it up and buy more bandwidth, not having your site up is a terrible set back!

Plus I want to see the site!

I think you should go ahead and buy more bandwidth as soon as possible because like Austin said it will set you back. Just think, if it has this much success in 1 month imagine how much more it will have with more exposure. In my opinion it should surpass the costs of the upgraded server in time too. Plus if you don’t upgrade you might run into the same problem next month and unless you only want your service running a few days per month, I suggest upgrading.

    Just my 2 cents :)

Exactly! Also, time to start checking out other forms of monetization such as CPM like ValueClickMedia and link sales such as Text-Link-Ads… or even start cruising around forums and selling private ads!

You really need to keep the site up - having it down like this will hurt customers’ loyalty. Some will never come back.
