IMO, the choices depend entirely on your state when the decision was made. If you are going through problems at any time of your life, it is more likely you will end up making decisions which will be for money, rather than for love, especially if it involves a financial problem. But if you are financially stable and have nothing to worry about, it is most likely that the decisions made will be for love and 'fun' rather than for any monetary goal.
