Ringside Battle - Quantity Versus Quality
Since traffic is the way in which Bloggers and website publishers turn a profit and ultimately put money in their pockets. Our goal at CashBulge.com is to show you how to obtain that traffic. So you might ask again, what produces traffic?
Content produces traffic.
Once you have established what you want to write about, the only way people are going to visit your site, is if you can offer the right type and amount of content your visitors want.
How do I know how much content is enough? And how in depth do I need to go with it?
This is the battle between Quantity of Content vs. Quality of Content. Both have their ups and downs but with the right mixture one can produce a winning combination that can make a site successful and turn profits.
How many times you update your blog per week is sometimes just as important as what you write about.
One of the best ways to increase traffic on your site is to produce mass quantities of content. This will in turn retrieve more search engine visibility and achieve more visitors, the ultimate goal.
This technique is commonly known as volume blogging.
Volume blogging is very beneficial to new sites that are trying to create an audience. Creating new content and a lot of it will increase the number of searches you get daily and in turn achieve more visitors daily. Remember the object here is to achieve more visitors. Through that, you can get the advertisements more visibility and hopefully more clicks.
Tons of Content = Search Engine Hits = Linkage = Traffic = $ Profits $
This seems too easy. All I have to do is write as much as I can and the traffic will be flowing in?
Just volume blogging isn’t going to cut it in most cases. It will help you to produce more traffic, but once the traffic starts coming into the site the visitors will then determine if the content is “good” enough for them to return and read more. This is where the quality of content comes in. You have to be able to provide your new visitors with something that will keep them coming back for more.
You can’t just write a page with a bunch of popular keywords and expect visitors to continue to come to your site, read your content, and click on your ads. You need to have substance in your posts, and try to teach your readers something they couldn’t learn elsewhere. By doing this you are building a regular audience and a bond with your visitors who will return to your site daily for your quality content. This is what its all about, trying to achieve a steady flow of regular and new visitors.
Lightning Tip: Remember, if you have great quality content, people will start talking and links will start popping up which means less work for you.
So, in the end it actually isn’t quantity of content vs. quality of content. One must actually use them together simultaneously.
Use quantity to achieve more search visibility, and the quality to keep visitors wanting more from the site and realizing it is a good source of information. Depending on your topic, the amounts of content you produce and the quality of it will differ, but if you can, try to write something everyday, and if you can write more, go for it. Although it is easier said then done, write as much as you can with good content and you should be able to achieve a good amount of traffic. And if you can’t write that often, when you do actually write, make sure it counts.
Remember that once you bring the visitors in, you want them coming back for more. Writing quality content and writing it often (quantity) is one of the many ways to keep your site successful in the long run.
(See don’t you wanna come back already ;-P).
